Context

The project’s core focus was to pinpoint and rectify user experience challenges encountered by the 17,000 students, campus partners, and administrative personnel engaged in the WWF Living Planet at Campus initiative. By addressing these issues, we achieved a remarkable 70% boost in student retention rates, concurrently elevating engagement with educational and corporate sponsors.

“How can we effectively elevate student engagement and achieve a 70% increase in completion rates, thereby ensuring the sustained growth of corporate and institutional sponsorships for the program? This growth will facilitate environmental impact by leveraging the lens of community-driven transformation.”

Interviews, Synthesis, Journey mapping & Personas

The research journey began with a focused three-month phase. Diverse methods, including interviews, circles, and forms, were employed. Notably collaborative, the research partnered with the Honda Team for direct insights from key stakeholders. The UX/UI designer played a central role, creating research scripts that underpinned the design process.
At this stage, empathy maps were created and research findings were synthesized. Our site architecture underwent an informational architecture audit. This guided our journey mapping and initial lo-fidelity wireframes for user testing. From there, we moved to prototyping, refining with hi-fidelity wireframes handed off to developers.

Other Work

Email Marketing, Reporting, Admin Portal.

We crafted email notifications to highlight the latest releases, invaluable insights, and essential resources. For seamless program enhancement, we established a dedicated reporting zone, ensuring accessible metrics. Moreover, a holistic Admin portal was innovated, streamlining student application processing with heightened effectiveness and efficiency.

Refelections

Design with an objective.

The creation of an immersive educational platform for students demanded a shift in perspective that extended beyond the parameters of the application itself. The focal point transitioned to the enhancement of our user communication strategies. Given the demanding schedules of students, a prevalent challenge emerged, wherein the completion of the program could unintentionally evade attention. To tackle this issue, we capitalized on email marketing in conjunction with the seamless integration of communication functionalities within the procedural steps of the system. This strategic approach substantially contributed to a more resilient and synchronized communication process.
